BENNINGTON — Embrace the beauty of spring and honor mothers at The Apple Barn and Bakeshop's upcoming Roots and Blooms Festival, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. May 18, at 604 U.S. Route 7 South in Bennington.

This vibrant event promises a day filled with festivities, workshops and local vendors showcasing products that celebrate the season. There will even be a Maypole, dance time TBA. Entrance to this event is free and open to the public.

The Roots and Blooms Festival celebrates Vermont with freshly baked goods, locally sourced artisanal gifts and immersive agricultural adventures, all infused with the spirit of community, sustainability and celebration.

In addition to celebrating the arrival of spring, the Roots and Blooms Festival will also shine a spotlight on the work of PAVE (Prevention Against Violent Encounters), the chosen nonprofit for the month of May. PAVE offers vital legal assistance to individuals in domestic violence situations, and the festival will feature fundraising initiatives to support their important cause.

"We have chosen PAVE as our featured nonprofit for the month of May and this event because of their invaluable services and dedication to supporting individuals in need," said Sarah Albright, owner of The Apple Barn.
