African Player Of The Year 2017: Victor Moses, Salah, Mane, 8 Others Shortlisted

Super Eagles star Victor Moses remains in the running for Confederation of African Football African Player of the Year after the controlling body for African association football revealed the 11 players that made the latest shortlist.
Moses, Bursaspor defender William Troost-Ekong and twenty eight other candidates were initially shortlisted for the award on November 1 before CAF pruned down the list to eleven names.
The Chelsea star's biggest rivals as he bids to win the award made the cut : Mohamed Salah (Liverpool), Naby Keita (RB Leipzig), Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (Borussia Dortmund) and Sadio Mane (Senegal & Liverpool) .
For the first time since the inception of the award, captains of the senior men’s national teams of the affiliated National Associations will also take part in decision making process of the African Player of the Year and Player of the Year (Based in Africa).
Nigeria U23 international Junior Ajayi and nine other players are still in contention for Player of the Year (Based in Africa).
The winners of the awards will be announced at on Thursday, 4 January 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
