A man caught on CCTV allegedly slapping a woman on her behind in Australia has been charged with two counts of sexual assault.
The 40-year-old man from the Gold Coast suburb of Hope Island has been charged over the alleged sexual assault of two female joggers in separate incidents.
On January 14, just after 7.30am, a Southport woman said she was returning home from a morning walk when the man approached her outside her front door.
He then allegedly slapped her on the behind five times before running away.
The alleged victim claims that after he slapped her he said: "I'm sorry. I just had to, you have the best arse."
The man handed himself into Southport Police Station yesterday afternoon where he was taken into custody and charged over the alleged assault and a similar incident that allegedly took place almost exactly a year ago in Hollywell.
On that occasion, police will claim a woman was jogging on Oxley Drive when the same man allegedly assaulted her.
The Hope Island man is scheduled to appear at Southport Magistrates Court on February 6.
