Over 14,000 Mongolians Reside in the Czech Republic

Prague, March 13, 2025 /MONTSAME/. President of Mongolia Khurelsukh Ukhnaa visited the Embassy of Mongolia in the Czech Republic on March 12, 2025.
President Khurelsukh emphasized the importance of upholding the honor and reputation of the homeland and diplomatic service, protecting the rights and interests of Mongolian citizens, preserving, passing down, and promoting the Mongol language, history, culture, traditions, and heritage, and actively introducing Mongolia to the host country and the region.
In recognition of their dedicated work in foreign relations and their contributions to the implementation of Mongolia’s foreign policies, President Khurelsukh conferred the Diplomatic Title of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary upon Gansukh Damdin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Czech Republic, and Mandakhbileg Birvaa, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
Currently, over 14,000 Mongolian citizens reside in the Czech Republic with official permits, accounting for 1.28 percent of the total foreign population in the country. More than 10,000 Mongolians are 18 years or older, with 97 percent employed in garment manufacturing, assembly work, and the meat processing industry.
Each year, approximately 200 Mongolian children are born in the Czech Republic. Currently, 203 Mongolian students are enrolled in secondary schools, 1,217 in primary schools, and 465 in kindergartens. During the 2023-2024 academic year, more than 120 Mongolian students pursued higher education at universities in the Czech Republic.
The Embassy of Mongolia in Prague provides consular services to an average of 6,000 citizens annually.
