Four area players earned all-Western Iowa Conference honors, including a multi-year starter for AHSTW who took a spot on the first team.

Luke Sternberg, a senior for the Vikings, took a spot on the first team after leading the team to an 11-11 record, an improvement from 2023-2024 when they won just five games. He led in several key statistical categories: Points per game (18.0), steals (74), assists (76) and rebounds (154, including 108 on defense).

Second-team selections were Audubon’s Brody Schultes, AHSTW’s Collin Harder and Riverside’s Peyton Amdor.

Schultes, a junior for the Wheelers, came off the bench and averaged a team-best 11.3 ppg, and his 44 steals was a team-best. Harder, a junior, averaged 14.4 ppg and dished out 65 assists. Amdor put in 14.0 ppg during his sophomore year, and finished with 42 steals and 96 rebounds.
