That upper level system from yesterday continues to move away, and it is going to mean *** lot of sunshine around for the afternoon even in the north country where we started with some clouds as we went through the morning, *** little bit uh more brisk for the afternoon, but certainly with at least *** little bit of sunshine. 40s north after 30s yesterday and 50s for central and southern areas and within *** few degrees of our averages for this time of year. Bear in mind tonight, clear skies, light winds, we will drop back into the. 20s to lower 30s, but as you will notice after this afternoon, warmer for the next 3 days, which includes Friday and your Easter weekend, *** little bit cooler for the runners on Marathon Monday. So we had the clouds around earlier this morning up in the north country, but even there starting to give way to some sunshine going into the afternoon. Looks like we will enjoy those fair skies tonight and again it's 20s for *** lot of the northern half of the state overnight. And lower 30s from Manchester to the coastline early tomorrow. *** lot of sunshine around on Friday as the air mass continues to modify. We're talking 60s just about statewide tomorrow. Some clouds racing in later in the day and the chance of *** passing shower after about 4 or 5 o'clock. There will be *** warm front arriving first thing Saturday morning, so there might be *** stray shower early or as you can see along *** cold front later in the day, winched in between. Milder air where temperatures will likely jump into the 60s to somewhere between 70 and 75 if we see enough sun during the afternoon. From there, cold front does come through and we will cool off some, but still you're talking highs between 55 in the north country to 65 in southern New Hampshire for Easter Sunday. *** lot of sunshine around during the afternoon and after some initial sunshine on Marathon Monday, clouds will start racing in. And that will mean *** late day or evening shower, but I think for most of the runners they should be finished before that chance of showers arrives. Mild weekend on the way, even warm for the day on Saturday, and maybe another warming trend for the middle of next week.
Another seasonably cool day today, then temperatures trend upward by the upcoming weekend.Still a bit brisk/windy, but with full sunshine. Highs will reach the 50s for many with a northwest wind gusting over 30 mph at times this afternoon.Fair skies as the wind lightens tonight. Lows will be in the 20s to lower 30s by morning.Friday looks milder (highs mostly in the 60s) with sun to increasing clouds. There's a chance for a few scattered rain showers Friday evening and overnight as a warm front comes through.Saturday looks very mild with highs south soaring into the low and mid 70s. There may be an isolated shower, mainly up north.Easter Sunday looks partly sunny and mainly dry, but seasonably cool with highs in the 50s to near 60 inland. For now, Monday looks dry for the Boston Marathon with highs in the 50s for many with a chance for showers later in the day.
