A Mayor's Spring Market will be held in Barry to support charities.
Mayor of Barry, Councillor Catherine Iannucci-Williams, will host the event on Saturday, May 3, from 10am to 2pm at the 5th Barry Sea Scout Hall, Everard Street.
The market will feature local arts and crafts makers.
Admission is free, and the event promises a variety of handmade gifts.
Refreshments will be sold to support the mayor's chosen charities: Vale Foodbank, part of The Trussell Trust’s network, and Shua Home and Sanctuary, a local animal welfare charity.
Vale Foodbank works to tackle food poverty and hunger in local communities.
Shua Home and Sanctuary operates an emergency rescue and rehabilitation service for stray, sick, injured, and unidentified cats and kittens.
