Another Simple Favor stars arrive to premiere as Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick squash feud rumors

The NYC premiere of A Simple Favor 2 took place on Sunday, April 27. The sequel which stars Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick saw the too wit it's star-studded red carpet.

Another Simple Favor had it's NYC premiere and it was a star-studded one.

The premiere occurred at Jazz at Lincoln Center in New York City on Sunday, April 27. The stars of the sequel attended the premiere such as Blake Lively, Anna Kendrick, Michele Morrone, Andre Rannells, Alex Newell, Elizabeth Perkins, Bashir Salahuddin, Ian Ho and Joshua Satine. Director Paul Feig and his wife Laurie was also hear there as well.

The premiere also saw Blake's family in attendance such as her husband Ryan Reynolds, sisters Robyn and Lori Lively, their mom Willie Elain McAlpin, and brother-in-law Bart Johnson. Her It Ends With Us co-star Isabella Ferrer also showed support. Other celebrities that came to premiere were Patti LuPone, Emily Blunt, Stanley Tucci, (Emily's brother-in-law), Hugh Jackman, Shawn Levy, Awkwafina (Henry's Crazy Rich Asians co-star), Michaels Kors and Christian Siriano.

A Simple Favor is set to come out on Amazon Prime on Thursday, May 1. This upcoming film picks up with Blake's character Emily Nelson, who is having a lavish wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman on the island of Capri and Emily sends Stephanie Smothers (Kendrick) an invite to the nuptials which makes for another adventure filled with twists and turns. Last month on March 7, A Simple Favor 2 had its world premiere at the 2025 SXSW Film & TV Festival in Austin, Texas.

The NYC premiere comes amid Blake's ongoing legal battle with her It Ends with Us director and costar Justin Baldoni. The 37-year-old filed a lawsuit against him December 2024 and she accused Justin and co-founder from his production company, Wayfarer Studios, of sexual harassment as well as him and his PR Team of a targeted smear campaign Justin denied the allegation and countersued Blake, her husband and their publicist for $400 million. Some of the things he alleged in his lawsuit were defamation and civil extortion. Their trial date is set to be in March 2026.
