Chesney Hawkes daughter going to pride with Celebrity Big Brother co-star JoJo

CHESNEY Hawkes has shared that his daughter is set to celebrate Pride with his Celebrity Big Brother co-star JoJo Siwa in the upcoming weeks. 

The One and Only singer, 53, bonded with the 21-year-old Karma singer during their time on the ITV2 show, so much so that he introduced her to his daughter, Jesse.

Jesse, also 21 and part of the LGBT community, is now set to head out to celebrate Pride in style with the lesbian singer, who is no doubt set to show her the ropes. 

Speaking to The Sun at the Bafta TV awards in London today, Chesney confirmed that Jesse and JoJo are set to celebrate the LGBT event together in the upcoming weeks. 

During his time on Celebrity Big Brother, Chesney admitted he felt a fatherly bond with JoJo, especially after Mickey Rourke made homophobic remarks towards her. 

He told the Diary Room after the incident: “It's funny because JoJo is the same age as my daughter. My daughter is also part of the LGBTQ community so it just reminded me of her and I think she really handled it well.

“So I was just sort of proud of her in a fatherly way.” 

While on the red carpet at the Baftas today, Chesney said he was still adjusting to life outside of the CBB house, having immediately started touring to promote his new album. 

“I feel like this is my first proper release back into the wild here,” he joked.

“I’ve been gigging, I’ve never stopped.”

He then confirmed Jesse would be ‘going over’ for Pride with JoJo, presumably to the Los Angeles pride event, which is held on the second weekend of June. 

The massive city-wide event includes a street parade, live performances and parties in honour of the LGBT community. 

Since returning home from Celebrity Big Brother, JoJo has been under a spotlight after immediately splitting from partner Kath Ebbs at the finale after party.

This comes after she formed a close bond with Chris Hughes while in the Big Brother House, with many questioning the tactile relationship and if it could be something more.

Both JoJo and Chesney made it to the finals, with Chesney coming in fifth place and JoJo coming in third.
