Memorial Day is almost here, and the sales have already started. Deals start mid month, so you can probably start looking at retailers like Target, Lowe's, Walmart, Amazon starting now. Jessica Teic works with our Hearst partners at the Good Housekeeping Institute. She and her team of experts sift through hundreds of thousands of deals each year to figure out which ones are worth buying and when so you can save the most money. Memorial Day tends to be the time of year where mattress. are at their cheapest that you will find them all year long. So right now is the best time to find *** really great deal on *** top tested mattress like Saha, Casper, and more. You can also expect to find deals on summer essentials and outdoor gear. It's *** great time to get those outdoor grills, patio furniture, and even outdoor paint. Jessica says deals on tech tend to be better around Black Friday, and fitness gear is usually cheapest at the beginning of the year. But this year's Memorial Day sales come with *** big caveat. The fear that Tariffs could drive up consumer prices. Baby gear, clothing, tech, appliances all will likely be seeing price increases in the near future, if not already. So right now, if you are seeing *** great discount on something that you've been wanting, probably *** safe time to buy. Her advice, plan ahead, but don't panic. If you have something that you really do need to replace, then right now is *** good time to look, but we really don't want to see people running out and stockpiling or panic buying or responding to the frenzy. Here are some specific deals we found. Mattress Firm is offering up to $700 off select mattresses and discounting the price of beds, and Home Depot is offering up to 35% off select appliances starting on May 15th. Reporting in Washington, I'm Amy Lou.
